SPECIAL MEDAL VERENIGING VOOR PENNINGKUNST 2004, cast bronze, Ø 77 mm, (c) concave obverse: lying, blessed face with a locket round her neck convex reverse:   the vignette of the society, space for inscription and the legend: gegeven – een penning. The word ‘gegeven’ has two meanings in Dutch: both ‘given as a past participle’ and as subject. The medal as a deed and as a theme. The concave side shows a silent enjoyment, the convex side stands for acknowledgment by the society.
